Today Stick, Author and Mrs Author were at the Common Wealth Games to watch the
women’s cricket. On our way into the event we crossed paths with Perry, the games mascot
and his entourage of assistants. Spotting Stick he changed course and made a beeline for us.
Reaching us Perry Insisted on holding Stick while the photos of all of us were taken. That
accomplished Perry was extremely loath to give Stick up, cuddling him to his chest. Making
it clear he wanted to keep Stick. Eventually he was persuaded to return Stick and continue
on his way. Sticks attraction for others is quite remarkable. His appeal and charisma
continues to grow. The cricket was superb.
